Customer Reviews
This kennel is superb. Susan really cares to know each animal personally and caters to their every need. If your dog is high energy, she will make sure they are getting proper exercise and play time. If they get along with other dogs, they receive social interaction with others. The kennel is very clean and organized. It is obvious a lot of thought and care went into its design and build. Its location is beautiful and very accommodating. Our Gus has been very happy staying at Good Old Dog Kennel. Thank you, Susan for providing a wonderful experience and excellent service.

10/10 recommend 1000 times over! My dogs LOOOVED it there, and it was their first time boarding; what can’t I say about them!? They are professional first of all, taking all necessary measures to ensure the safety of the animals they board; vet records are required and the kennel space is clean and comfortable and they asked us to provide food for our dogs as not to upset digestive systems, which we appreciate, and we sent treats as well (my dogs would riot without their duck jerky treats 😂) They allowed us to send personal items like blankets and toys. The dogs get daily walks and nightly couch time which my dogs enjoyed greatly! They also sent the MOST adorable update pictures that I totally intend to have framed 😄 if we want a grade A boarding place WITH affordable pricing, this is the establishment we will forever choose!!! We can tell the love and passion they have for the animals and they put their hearts in what they do- Thank you so much Good Ol’ Dogs!

Susan and Mike took care of my boys like family. They kept me updated every day and sent pictures. The kennels are kept super clean and sanitized. I love that there is an outdoor access for each kennel. It’s a family owned kennel that treats your pups as their own family. ❤️

So pleased with G.O.D boarding kennels! The owners are incredibly nice and have a genuine love for animals. The setup is great quality and my dog seemed to have a wonderful time. Pricing is reasonable. Couldn’t be happier with our dog’s care and couldn’t recommend them more. We’ll be back! Thank you!

This was the first time we left our dog to go on vacation. We were extremely nervous, because he has bad separation anxiety, and we did not know how he would do. Susan was amazing!
He took to her right away and within the first 3 hours he was perfectly fine just like she said. She played with him everyday, let him run free in the fenced-in pasture, and baked him homemade treats. She even sent photos, and he looked like he was on his own vacation! When we picked him up, he was happy, relaxed, and exhausted (which is amazing because he is extremely hyper!)
The facilities were brand new, clean, and well taken care of. Susan and her husband are friendly, personable, and professional. And their services are extremely affordable. I almost don’t want to post a review, because I want to keep this place a secret all to myself!

Does my dog need vaccinations?
Vaccination Requirements

Do I bring my dogs food with them?
Bringing Your Dog’s Food
Yes, we do ask that you bring your dog’s food from home. Since we can’t keep every brand on hand, it’s best to keep your dog on their regular diet to avoid stomach upset, gas, diarrhea, or discomfort from a sudden switch.
To make things easier, please pack your dog’s food in one of the following ways:
-
Pre-measured portions in freezer bags
-
A sealed container with the scoop you use at home
This way, we can make sure your dog gets the same amount they’re used to and stays happy and comfortable during their stay.
What are Pick-up & Drop-off times?
Drop-Off & Pick-Up Policy
We do our best to be flexible with scheduling so drop-off and pick-up times work well for you. To keep things smooth for everyone, we schedule specific times so there aren’t too many dogs coming or going at once.
-
Drop-Offs – No matter the time of day, the first day is always counted as a full day. This is because that kennel is reserved just for your dog.
-
Pick-Ups before 12:00 p.m. – No additional charge.
-
Pick-Ups after 12:00 p.m. – An additional day’s charge applies, as your dog is using a full-day spot.
Thank you for understanding—this helps us make sure every dog has their own space and receives the best care.

What is a day of a dog like at G.O.D.?
A Day at Good Old Dog Boarding Kennel
Here’s what a typical day looks like for our guests:
-
Morning: The day starts with breakfast, followed by free access to their private outdoor kennel through their doggy door.
-
Play & Exercise: Throughout the day, dogs are brought out individually (or with their family members) for leash walks or playtime. This provides both mental stimulation and physical exercise, helping to prevent boredom and keep tails wagging.
-
Evening: Dinner is served in the evening, and later at night, the doggy doors are closed for safety.
-
Nighttime Checks: Because we live on the property, we’re always nearby, and we do our final check on the dogs around 9:00 p.m. to make sure everyone is comfortable and settled for the night.
At Good Old Dog Boarding Kennel, your dog’s day is filled with care, structure, and attention—just like they’re part of our family.
